Manchester United are fast becoming irrelevant ..

Something that should never be said about a club the size of Manchester United and the rich history and tradition they have, but the Red Devils are fast becoming irrelevant.

What I mean by that, when they lost to Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend by two goals to nil, did anyone bat an eye lid? That’s the worrying thing if you’re a Manchester United fan, a result like that would have been very rate in the past, but is now turning into the norm.

Since their legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down as head coach of the club after 27 seasons back in 2013, the club has gone through multiple managers in a hope to try and find a replacement for the great Scot.

Sadly none of them have worked and the millions of money that has been spent on players has rarely worked, in fact Old Trafford is turning into a burial ground for any promising young footballers.

A club that prides itself on being able to bring through youth and being able to attract some of the best players in the world is no longer able to do so it seems. Where does the problem lie, is it the manger, is it the owners or is it the players? The truthful answer is .. That all three are to blame.

Roy Keane use always talk about how easy it was to be a leader in the Manchester United dressing and win trophies, because if he looked around the dressing room, there were multiple leaders to look to, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore at the club.

Erik ten Hag is a man on borrowed time it seems, they tried to replace the Dutch man in the summer, kinda like a casino with same day withdrawal, but couldn’t find anyone suitable and had to stick with the 54 year old former Ajax manager, not a great look for both the club and the manager, but picking managers is often like playing roulette at a casino.

Manchester United once had owners who were football men and deeply passionate about the club rather than their check books. I’m not too sure many would argue that the American owners, the Glazers would be watching Match of the Day on a Saturday evening ..

Manchester are fast becoming irrelevant and this weekend they will take on a high flying Aston Villa at Villa Park and if they lose this one, Erik ten Hag will struggle to keep his job .. Not sure changing the manager for a 7th time since Sir Alex Ferguson departed will solve the issues, worrying times to be a Manchester United supporter ..
