Why the end is near for Erik ten Hag ..

As the players return from another International break this weekend and the Premier League resumes.

The question that every Manchester United fan is asking each other now is, when will the 54 year old Dutch man Erik ten Hag be called into the Carrington offices to find out his services are no longer required at the legendary club.

Manchester United have so far this season lost three, won one and drawn two. The Red Devils currently sit 14th in the Premier League table. Their worst start to a Premier League season in a long time. Simply not good enough for a club of that stature and all odds, online betting on all events are not in his favour ..

A meeting in London last week of United’s executive board members had the future of Ten Hag right at the top of the agenda. And while he has managed to avoid the axe for now, the Dutchman is not out of the woods yet and he has been warned that an instant improvement is now required.

There’s various reports online that Erik ten Hag has just two games to save his job – and defeat at home to Brentford on Saturday and away at Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday will likely spell the end.

By all accounts Ten Hag is now ‘clinging on’ to his job and that the sack will be ‘inevitable’ if their form does not turn around and defeat arrives in their next two games.

Unfortunately for Manchester United fans, the search still goes on to find the right man to fill the big shoes left of Sir Alex Ferguson. The Red Devils have now gone throw seven managers since the great Scot stepped away from Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag is the latest manager that simply hasn’t worked and it’s a question of when now rather than if. Maybe this is the simple new norm that Red Devil supporters simply have to get use to. The club is fast becoming irrelevant to a lot of people that follow football.

If Manchester United lose to Brentford this Saturday at home in the three o’clock kick off, will many people be surprised? Not really and this has to be the worry if you are a fan of the Red Devils.

Ruud van Nistelrooy is the strong favourite to land the role of Manchester United boss, when Erik ten Hag finds himself out of a job and if the former legendary striker for the club fails, Lord knows who the club will look to next ..
