Manchester United’s response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer request – revealed

Manchester United have informed Cristiano Ronaldo that he is NOT for sale, despite the Portuguese superstar asking to leave Old Trafford.

News broke on Saturday that Ronaldo had formally requested to leave Man United after just one year back at the club.

Man United will be playing in the Europa League next season, something that Ronaldo has NEVER done in his career.

He feels as though he still has enough within him to challenge for major honours, something he won’t do at United.

You can’t blame him for wanting a change of scenery this summer, but it doesn’t look as though he’ll be getting one.

According to The Sun, Man United have rejected Ronaldo’s transfer request and informed him he will be staying.

That’s not any great surprise considering Chelsea have been the side most closely linked with signing the goal machine.

Whether Man United’s hard stance will hold up over the two months which remain of the window is another matter.

If Ronaldo returns for pre-season and kicks up a fuss, the Red Devils may well have no choice but to cash in.
