Man United and Chelsea both want Premier League proven centre-forward

Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in signing Brentford striker Ivan Toney, according to the Mirror.

Both Chelsea and Man United will undoubtedly be looking to add a centre-forward to their ranks before the summer transfer window comes to a close.

Recent hefty defeats against Brentford and Leeds United respectively have amplified the need for reinforcements for both Erik ten Hag and Thomas Tuchel.

Rather annoyingly for both managers, it appears as though there has been some crossover in their transfer strategies, with both clubs chasing Ivan Toney.

Toney, who enjoyed a superb start to life in the Premier League with Brentford last campaign, has picked up where he left off this season to date.

As per the Mirror, both Man United and Chelsea are keen on signing Toney from the Bees before the transfer window slams shut in ten days’ time.

Whether either will be successful in their efforts remains to be seen, but Toney is the full package, he’d be a superb addition for either club.
