Liverpool superstar edging closer to Anfield exit – with transfer talks ongoing

Sadio Mane appears to be edging closer to leaving Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Mane, who has been every bit as important to Jurgen Klopp’s men as Mohamed Salah throughout this period of historic success, is out of contract with the Reds come the summer of 2023.

There have been whispers suggesting that the Senegalese superstar has grown frustrated by Liverpool’s insistence to prioritise Mohamed Salah’s extension at the expense of his own.

As a result, there is now a legitimate possibility that Mane leaves Anfield when the summer transfer window opens, with a European heavyweight understood to have opened the door for his arrival.

Though there is no replacing Robert Lewandowski and his extraordinary goal-scoring exploits, Mane is a player who has continually proven that he can find the back of the net on a regular basis.

With question marks also emerging over the future of Serge Gnabry, amid a contract impasse, Mane could be the perfect candidate to slot into the Bavarian giants’ attack ahead of next season.

Of course, Jurgen Klopp would be hugely reluctant to lose the 30-year-old, but extending Salah’s contract appears to be the priority – and after all, they have no shortage of quality in reserve.
