Former Liverpool defender, Steve Nicol believes that Carlo Ancelotti would be a great replacement for Jurgen Klopp if the German leaves the club.
The Reds have been far from their usual best this season, they currently reside in 10th place in the Premier League table, 11 points off fourth spot and a whopping 21 points off leaders Arsenal.

The German has been outstanding for Liverpool but murmurings of his departure are becoming more and more frequent.
Although the majority of Liverpool supporters still stand behind him, a finish outside of the European spots may force the owner’s hand.

If this was to happen, former Liverpool player Steve Nicol believes that Carlo Ancelotti would be a great replacement.
“Let me tell you, Ancelotti would be a great manager for anybody, including Liverpool,” Nicol said on ESPN.
“So, that’s not even a doubt.”
The Italian manager is currently at Real Madrid but there have been rumours that the club could sack him in the next few months.
