Gary Lineker has hit back at Matt Le Tissier on Twitter after the former Southampton star shared his controversial coronavirus opinion.
In a period of human history like nothing we have seen before, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the thoughts and feelings of the people are not unanimous.
However, as has been well established by this point, those with a platform have a responsibility not to share COVID-19 related misinformation – it costs lives.

Someone ought to have told Le Tissier, because he shared this highly contentious opinion via his Twitter account on Wednesday…

Lineker came back with a sardonic response, clearly not afraid to call Le Tissier out publicly for his nonsense tweeting…
Yeah Matt, why didn’t someone come up with a flu vaccine? https://t.co/lXX5WlXBUp
