Not the best start to Kerry’s season by getting heavily beaten by their arch rivals Cork at Páirc Uí Rinn last night. Cork had a strong side out and Kerry were trying a few players out in different positions.
The full-time score was Cork 4-11 Kerry 0-14 in the McGrath Cup, I’m sure Kerry won’t be too bothered, there’s no medals handed out in January, but still a cause for concern for Jack O’Connor and his backroom staff and something for Cork to build on surely?

Cork have beaten a somewhat experimental Kerry side comfortably in the McGrath Cup this evening👀
The Rebels always seemed to be in control of the game in Páirc Uí Rinn.

It's only January but a very impressive performance for Cork tonight! Hopefully it is the start of a good year for the lads 🤞Nice to beat Kerry anyway, no matter what competition it is 😂🙌 https://t.co/OGZPFiMVlf

@Michael_O_Regan Following Kerry’s sobering defeat in Pairc Ui Rinn last evening, a travel amnesty is being sought for all Cork supporters who wish to attend the hurling game in Tralee tonight. A positive and cordial response from #kexit is anticipated. Safe journey

It’s definitely a result that raises an eyebrow and above are some of the comments and reactions, I’m sure Kerry will be ready come the start of the league in a few weeks time..
