Once again the Three Lions were well below par but with only a minute left of injury time Jude Bellingham scored a sensational goal to force the game into extra time.

Harry Kane then nodded in the winner sending Southgate’s men into the quarter finals against an impressive Switzerland.
After Bellingham’s goal though, there were claims that he had made a gesture towards the Slovakian bench as a video was posted on social media.
But taking to X formerly Twitter he quoted the video and explained the incident.
He wrote: ‘An inside joke gesture towards some close friends who were at the game. Nothing but respect for how that Slovakia team played tonight.’
