Anthony Joshua has taken to Twitter to accept Tyson Fury’s proposition of a ‘Battle of Britain’ fight later in the year.
Fury, who allegedly has a date and venue pencilled in for a fight later in the year, one which will not be against Oleksandr Usyk, laid down the gauntlet to AJ on social media on Monday.
Fury shared a video on his social channels offering Joshua the opportunity to fight for the WBC heavyweight belt. Needless to say, it’s not the first time the Gypsy King has called out his compatriot.

Perhaps Fury was expecting radio silence from his rival, who has recently suffered back-to-back defeats to Usyk, but Joshua struck back, insisting he was ready to take the fight.
Yea calm. I don’t do the online discussions just for clout, so if your really about it shout @258mgt. I’ll be ready in December. Khalas https://t.co/kKCWdrlmol

Sadly, Fury never ordinarily means the words he distributes across his social channels, so it’s he who probably doesn’t actually want to fight Joshua this December.
He’ll probably give his mate Derek Chisora a payday instead.
