๐Ÿ‘Š Joe Calzaghe names the hardest puncher he faced in his career

Joe Calzaghe retired undefeated in 2008 after a glittering career.

Calzaghe won all 46 of his bouts and faced the likes of Mikkel Kessler, Bernard Hopkins and Jeff Lacy in a stellar career but speaking to the Ring, Calzaghe named Charles Brewer as the biggest puncher he faced.

โ€œThereโ€™s a few. Kessler hit hard, but Iโ€™d probably go with Charles Brewer. My game plan was to outbox him, but Charles โ€œThe Hatchetโ€ Brewer I had seen knock out lots of guys. So I figure Iโ€™ll outbox himโ€, said Calzaghe.

โ€œI remember in the first round he came out and whacked me right in the solar plexus. If you watch the tape, you see me take a deep breath and then go toe to toe for the rest of the fight. He buzzed me up a few times in that fight. Heavy-handed and dangerous from the first round till the 12th.โ€
