YouTuber Jake Paul is the 676th ranked cruiserweight on the planet, according to BoxRec.
Paul has made no secret of his desire to become a world champion in the future and has even established his intentions to fight Canelo Alvarez, arguably the best pound-for-pound boxer on the planet right now.
If he wants to have any chance of having a belt around his waist, he’ll have to fight someone other than a washed-up UFC fighter, but you’d think it unwise for Paul to step into the ring of anyone with any real calibre.
The YouTuber has shown signs of progress, but you can’t just pick up boxing one day and become a world champion. He’s competing against those who have dedicated their lives to the sport.

As a consequence, Paul’s credentials aren’t taken particularly seriously, especially by BoxRec. As is reported by The Sun, they rank him as the 676th best cruiserweight in the world – not much of a compliment.
As is stated in the report, Paul is even behind a fighter who has lost all 18 of his professional bouts to date. At least his opponents will have been ACTUAL boxers. Paul’s fights are glorified exhibitions…
