Throwback to this iconic Euro 2016 moment when Icelandic commentator Guðmundur Benediktsson went absolutely mental for Iceland’s two goals against England in the Euro 2016 Round of 16.
England were heavy favourites going into the game but were humiliated by smallest ever nation to qualify for a major international football tournament thanks to goals from Sigurdsson in the 6th minute and Sigthorsson in the 18th minute.
The defeat led to the resignation of England manager Roy Hodgson and also made way for the iconic Icelandic clap to take centre stage on the global arena, a celebration used by many different clubs and countries since.
