Poor stuff. Is giving a licence to foul play and thuggery the way to promote our national games? I’d imagine if his young son/daughter was on the receiving end of a cheap shot that left them injured/hospitalised, he’d be singing a different tune.

Good for the refs for penalising foul play. For too long there’s been a culture of ‘manliness’ in hurling. Hope Hurling and Camogie can create environments where all players prosper and enjoy the game.

I’d say there’s a good few around Kerry that wouldn’t agree with that statement.
