🚨Hurling legend slams RTE for undermining hurling this summer .. 😬

The former Kilkenny hurler Eddie Brennan was writing in his column this week in the Irish Independent and isn’t happy with how our national games is playing second fiddle to the Euros.

It’s disappointing that our national games would ever be forced to play second fiddle to a soccer tournament Ireland are not even playing in, one that seems to be taking precedence with our national broadcaster.

We’re dealing with a very short championship window which is being squeezed even further now. If Ireland were playing in Germany, it’d be fair enough, but they’re not.

There are only five matches left in the All-Ireland hurling championship and we should be showcasing every one of them properly.

The real problem here is .. The GAA need to move their season back to the original whether they like it or not soccer is a huge business for RTE and other TV outlets.

  1. There’s no need to change hurling back as the new structures suit the club players and should be left alone. RTE have always given Soccer and Rugby priority to keep the Dubs and Leinster fans happy…I agree with Eddie
