England conceded a penalty against Germany at Wembley Stadium after a foul from, you guessed it, Harry Maguire.
Maguire was booed as his name was read out at Wembley, with the England supporters showing their disapproval for his selection in the backline.
Gareth Southgate has stood by Maguire through a seriously difficult period, justifying his selection with his consistent good performances in an England shirt.
Unfortunately for Southgate and the Three Lions, those good performances for England have now come to a catastrophic end in England’s final game before the World Cup.
Maguire lazily lashed out at Jamal Musiala in the penalty area, and following a short review by VAR, a penalty was awarded and Germany took the lead through Ilkay Gundogan.
You have to think that Maguire will be dropped ahead of the World Cup. He’s an accident waiting to happen in defence, and tonight, the accident happened…
