Football fans across Germany have united this weekend to express a message of support for refugees.
Several violent anti-refugee protests have taken place in the Germany this week, but the response from the German public has been one of solidarity.
The message spread to the terraces on Saturday as numerous banners were spotted, each bearing a clear message: ‘refugees welcome’.

Nobody has sent a bigger message of support than Borussia Dortmund who invited 220 refugees to their Europa League match against Norwegian side Odds Ballklubb.
A tweet was shared from the club’s official account, accompanied by the hashtag #refugeeswelcome.
