Gary Lineker aimed a joke at Frank Lampard during the BBC’s live coverage of Euro 2024 in Germany.

Lampard, 45 was part of the broadcasting team that also included Alex Scott and Thomas Frank for Germany’s 2-0 victory against Hungary yesterday.

Speaking after the match, the former England striker, Lineker told viewers that footage of Germany supporters wildly celebrating a goal was recorded from the nearby event space but a large screen, separated the studio from the park.

‘I wish they’d take that screen down, then we’d see all the punters,’ Lineker said. ‘But if they took the screen down, they wouldn’t be able to watch the game.’

Lampard then responded: ‘The back of our heads… who wouldn’t turn up for that?’

Lineker then aimed a brutal bald jibe at Lampard.

“No one wants to see the back of your head these days, do they Frank?’

The smile on Lampard’s face then visibly disappeared.
