The two time All-Ireland winner Shane OâDonnell isnât entirely happy with GAAGO using his image to promote the selling of GAAGO and rightfully so.
âThe bottom line is I donât agree with it,â OâDonnell told the BBCâs The GAA Social podcast about GAAGO.
âThen I see on the GAAGOâs website all year that theyâre selling the season pass with myself and three other players, just like right above the part where it says âbuy for X amount of euroâ. To anyone, you could think that weâre endorsing that or we have given our explicit consent that we would be put up there.
âAnd thatâs just not the case. We werenât even asked. I donât even want to benefit financially from that. I donât want to be endorsing GAAGO because I donât agree with it. So really, I just want them to ask me, can we put your image up there? (Iâd say) no.
âItâs not a huge deal, but you feel like you should have some control over your image. You want to be able to say, âYes, Iâm happy to do thatâ or âNo, Iâm not happy to do that.'â
