The famous club of Castlehaven in West Cork is mourning the passing of clubman Dermot O’ Regan this week. We send our deepest condolences to Dermot O’ Regan and his close family and friends at this time.

The Castlehaven GAA club wishes its deepest sympathy to Wendy , family Luke, Isla , sisters /brother Eilish, Fiona , Jennifer, Susan , Barbara and David , his extended family and friends on the sad passing of Dermot.
On Friday morning , there was an air of sadness over the parish when the news broke of the passing of Dermot O’ Regan
First and foremost, Dermot was a great family man and was very proud of his children. He was very proud of where he came from in the townland of Keelahangil and the parish of Castlehaven.
Dermot was a tremendous supporter of the Castlehaven GAA club, just like his father, the late Dan . The O’ Regan family has a long association with the club. Dermot gave tremendous service to the club as a player. He played from underage to adult level. He also was a former member of the club’s general committee.
Dermot lived in England in recent years but still kept in touch with the club . He travelled home for the big championship games and followed all the results on social media. He attended the 2023 County final and really enjoyed that great win .
Dermot will be a huge loss, especially to his family and to all his friends in the community. Dermot was a tremendous character and a great teammate to everyone on and off the field.
We all will miss Dermot’s famous shout at the Castlehaven matches down the years .
