Paris Fury reveals HUGE fight that Tyson wants next after Deontay Wilder triumph

Tyson Fury expressed his desire to fight Anthony Joshua soon after beating Deontay Wilder in their trilogy bout, claims wife Paris.

Fury and Joshua’s camps were reportedly in talks earlier in the year over staging a fight in Saudi Arabia, one which would see the victory crowned the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

Unfortunately, with a court of arbitration ordering Fury to fight Wilder again, talks fell through. Joshua agreed to fight WBO mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk… and the rest is history.

You could be forgiven for thinking that we will now never be seeing Fury and Joshua step through the ropes and fight, with the situation panning out unfavourably from their perspective.

Still, Fury appears keen on making the fight happen, even though Joshua is now merely just a FORMER world champion. Here’s what his wife Paris had to say, quoted by the Daily Star:

Tyson Fury STILL wants to fight Anthony Joshua, according to wife Paris

“[On fighting Joshua] Tyson would love to.”

“As soon as we were on the flight home Tyson was saying ‘I want to fight AJ, that’s the next fight’.”

“But AJ has his own fights and Tyson has other people up and coming and mandatories for the belts.”

“It will only be what the higher of the boxing society can allow.”

If Fury really does want to fight Joshua before hanging up his gloves, we’d like to think that he’ll get the opportunity to do so, belts or no belts.

Say what you want about AJ but he and Fury have defined this era of British heavyweight boxing. To see them meet in the ring would be a huge moment for the sport and the country.
