Tyson Fury is reportedly set to be ordered to face WBC mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte, with the bout lined up for February 2022.
Fury retained his WBC heavyweight title with an emphatic victory over Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas. It kept The Gypsy King on track to fight to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world against the winner of Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk II.
Fury will not want to spend a year out the ring waiting for that fight to come around and is reportedly set to be offered the opportunity to remain active, while hanging onto his WBC title by fighting the mandatory challenger.

According to The Sun, Fury will be ordered by the WBC to fight challenger Dillian Whyte, with the fight potentially taking place on UK soil as soon as February 2022.
Whyte recently pulled out of his proposed bout with Otto Wallin, a man that caused Fury a few problems himself, with a shoulder injury. He is expected to be fit by the end of the year and will be available to fight in February, were the fight able to be agreed and pencilled in.
