Bob Arum has suggested that Tyson Fury could return to the ring in Spring 2022 against either Dillian Whyte or Joe Joyce.
Fury defeated Deontay Wilder by way of knockout in their trilogy bout to retain his WBC heavyweight title and reaffirm himself as the number one fighter in the division.
While he will have one eye on unifying the division, Anthony Joshua has invoked the rematch clause in his fight deal with Oleksandr Usyk, which forces Fury to wait.
As a result, he’s likely to fight again early next year and (hopefully) keep himself on track to face the winner of Joshua vs Usyk II in the autumn or winter.
According to Bob Arum, who has worked closely with Fury throughout his trilogy with Wilder over in the United States, his next bout could be an all-English fight with either Dillian Whyte or Joe Joyce.

He’s quoted by Blue Blood Sports TV saying:
“I talk to Tyson all the time, he is assuredly not going to step away from boxing.”
“The question is, when he will fight next? And if I had to guess, probably I would say March.”
“But again, in March, I’d like Tyson Fury to fight in the UK and I think among the opponents would be Dillian Whyte or maybe this big English guy Joe Joyce.”
English fight fans would absolutely love to see either. The appetite for Joshua vs Fury has decreased since AJ was defeated by Usyk, but it’s about time Fury gets back to fighting on UK soil.
If that comes against a compatriot of his – even better. It’ll be huge.
