Tyson Fury has claimed that he will NOT be fighting Anthony Joshua after the Monday 5pm deadline was missed.
Fury has claimed that he was willing to meet Joshua in the ring this December, with AJ and Eddie Hearn publicly confirming that they want the fight and will seek an agreement.
However, Fury has insisted on setting a silly deadline of Monday 26th September at 5pm, which has now passed, as the cutoff for a fight agreement to have been signed.
He was warned that the timeframe was unrealistic but he evidently doesn’t care. Fury has now confirmed that he will NOT be fighting Joshua on the proposed December date.
‼️ Tyson Fury has now declared that he will NOT be fighting Anthony Joshua next because AJ has not signed the contract today…

Quite clearly, Fury was never actually interested in having his fight with Joshua, it was all social media nonsense, which we have become accustomed to with him.
Perhaps an agreement will still be struck, but you’d have to deem it unrealistic at this point. Fury has made fight talks essentially impossible from AJ’s perspective.
Fury claims to have the best interests of British boxing fans at heart. We now know, if we didn’t already, that those claims couldn’t be further from the truth.
