Ricky Gervais once had a charity boxing match, where he exchanged leather with Grant Bovey.
In 2002, the comic stepped in the ring for a clash against Bovey after agreeing to raise money.
The winner of the bout was set to scoop £5000 for a charity of their choice and their training sessions were shown on the BBC before they scrapped on the channel.
The two pair stepped through the ropes and exchanged shots for three 90-second rounds.
After a somewhat and expected scrappy affair Gervais’ hand was raised.
