In the aftermath of UFC 304, Michael ‘Venom’ Page and Farid Basharat had an altercation in a hotel lobby.
There had been rumours of a heated situation after the UFC event in Manchester and footage has now been released.
It appears Michael ‘Venom’ Page and Farid Basharat were the two men involved with former UFC champion Alex Volkanovski acting as a peacemaker by trying to diffuse the situation.

Before footage surfaced, Volkanovski, had described the incident, revealing that he witnessed a heated confrontation between two men, but at the time he kept their identities under wraps.
He said: “I didn’t want to cause any issues or name anyone involved. But since you’re asking, I’ll share a bit.”
“There was a scuffle in the lobby between two individuals. One was definitely a fighter, but I’m not sure about the other. It looked like a punch was thrown, and things got heated. Security was all over it, but I tried to step in and diffuse the situation.”
“The guy I tried to hold onto was quite slippery. Despite my efforts, he managed to evade me and a few other security guards. It was quite a scene, with everyone scrambling to control the situation. I almost lost my balance as we tumbled down the stairs.”
“If footage surfaces, you might see just how chaotic it was. If not, well, you won’t know who was involved. I decided it’s best to keep names out of it for now.”
Basharat though has given his side of the story.
Taking to X formerly Twitter he wrote:
‘I’ve never been one to look for a fight but if somebody starts it I will never shy away. He swung first and then backed away. Coward and a fake nice guy. But it’s cool.. I know how to deal with bullies. See you around 👍🏻’
