Thomond Park will play host to twelve teams and a feast of rugby this weekend, with the Limerick World Club Se7ens taking place tomorrow and Saturday.

All four Irish provinces are represented, along with eight other teams from as far afield as Buenos Aires and San Francisco.
Diego Albanese scored the winning try as Argentina knocked Ireland out of the RWC 1999. He is in Limerick for World rugby 7s at the weekend.

Local fans can cheer on a 12 man Munster panel comprised of academy, sub-academy and club players and captained by academy player Alex Wootton.

Organisers promise that the weekend will be a celebration of rugby and much more besides.
“It’s about the experience, the games, the party, the after parties and the carnival like atmosphere,” the the Thomond Park website promises.
“The weekend offers fans and attendees, family fun to fancy dress, if you want to let your hair down with thousands of other rugby and party lovers this is the place to be.”
