The Mayo County Board has called on the 82,000 football fans in Croke Park next Sunday to pay tribute to Darragh Doherty, the young Mayo footballer who died tragically on Sunday night.
The 19-year-old from Kilmaine is set to be honoured in the 13th minute by fans, with 13 seconds of applause for the corner-forward.
Tributes have been paid to Doherty by many, including his club, this week.
But it would only be fitting for the Mayoman who helped his county to All-Ireland Minor honours in 2013 to be remembered by the Croke Park crowd on Sunday.
Darragh Doherty, left, and Tommy Conroy lift the Tom Markham cup.
The idea originated from Mayo legend David Brady and is spreading quickly online…
