Mo Salah (29′) opened the scoring after Curtis Jones won a penalty following a clumsy challenge from Levi Colwill.
Nicolas Jackson (48′) bagged the equaliser for the Blues just half-time but the lead lasted just three minutes as Jones (51′) darted through and slid the ball past Robert Sánchez.

Jones was subbed off in the 81st minute and was given a standing ovation by the Liverpool fans in attendance.
Fans online were also in agreement on Jones’ performance and flooded x formerly Twitter praising his performance.
One said: ‘Curtis Jones has been involved in everything good we’ve done today.’
Another added: ‘Curtis jones fucking everywhere on the pitch don’t know what going on here usually sh**e.’
