When Fabrizio Romano speaks, it is usually worth listening.
The popular Italian journalist is renowned for confirming some of the biggest transfers in world football and he has done just that this morning, confirming that Chelsea have secured the signing of French forward Christopher Nkunku for next season.
The 25-year old suffered a knee injury in France training three days prior to the start of the World Cup, ending his tournament dreams, but that hasn’t stopped Chelsea pursuing the RB Leipzig man as Todd Boehly’s newest signing means Chelsea have now spent over £300million on attackers since January 2019.

Nkunku joined Leipzig from PSG in 2019 for £11million back in 2019 and he’s proved to be worth every penny, scoring 64 goals and grabbing 64 assists in 159 games for the German side.

His signing will no doubt get Chelsea fans nervous, with no attacker really hitting the heights expected of them at the club since Diego Costa joined the club back in 2014, but upon Nkunku’s arrival at Stamford Bridge next July, perhaps Blues fans will feel a lot more relaxed.
