Ahead of the West Ham United and Everton game on Sunday both managers David Moyes and Frank Lampard made a bit of a mess of the wreath presentation. Both managers were on the wrong sides, when they released they quickly swapped places.
They only corrected their mistake after West Ham captain Declan Rice spotted the error and told Moyes that he was on the wrong side, causing some slight confusion between the two gaffers.
One fan on social media even joked: “Nice of both managers to lead out their former clubs.” Moyes spent 11 years as Everton manager between 2002 and 2013 and of course Frank Lampard started his playing career with the Hammers.
