You booze, you lose: Erik ten Hag OUTLAWS alcohol at Manchester United

Manchester United players have been BANNED from drinking any alcohol during match weeks.

Erik ten Hag was entrusted with the responsibility of managing a seemingly unmanageable squad. He is looking to succeed where all before him, since the retirement of Sir Alex, have failed miserably.

Perhaps his biggest asset when it comes to turning the Red Devils’ fortunes around is his insistence on professional behaviour. The Dutchman is a renowned disciplinarian.

He has not hung around in implementing major changes to the squad, either. ten Hag is not at Old Trafford to make any friends, after all – he signed the contract to win.

As is reported by The Sun, one of ten Hag’s first actions as Man United manager has been to ban the consumption of alcohol, of any kind, to any extent, during matchweeks.

Considering Man United will be competing in the Premier League, Europa League and other cup competitions next term, that is near enough every week on the calendar.

We don’t know for certain exactly who the big drinkers are within Man United’s ranks, but it’s hard to imagine any of them taking kindly to these new rules…
