The former Cork goalkeeper Donal Óg Cusack was on The Sunday Game highlights show last night and still isn’t happy with the way this seasons hurling Championship was rushed. The three time All-Ireland winner believes there should be more inter county games to show case the greatest game on earth.
The former Laois footballer Colm Parkinson has taken objection with this though and took to his podcast account on twitter called Smaller Fish GAA, see what the former footballer had to say below;

Intercounty players go back to their clubs now and have a life outside the demands of intercounty. Family life, holidays etc. Clubs get a defined schedule.

We go straight into club hurling now and some club championships have already started, but to have the inter county finished in mid July is extremely strange and something that we might have to get use to.
