Dejan Lovren offers his hotel to families who lost their homes during earthquake in Croatia

Dejan Lovren has taken to Instagram to offer his hotel as free temporary accommodation for families who lost their homes during the devastating earthquake in Petrinja, Croatia.

Lovren owns the Joel Hotel on the island of Pag and he has kindly offered free accommodation to 16 families who all lost their homes in today’s earthquake.

According to The New York Times the earthquake struck in central Croatia striking hardest near the town of Petrinja where it registered 6.4 in magnitude.

Lovren opened the luxury 4-star hotel in 2018 which has 17 apartment rooms and is located in Novalja on the island of Pag.

Pag is located 350km away from the epicentre of the earthquake at Petrinja but it is a short distance to travel to guarantee shelter and safety to the families affected.

Croatian media said people were injured by the quake, but could not initially say how many amid the confusion and downed phone lines.
