David Alaba is set to become the biggest earner in the Premier League if he manages to pull off a move to Chelsea this summer reports the Sun.
Alaba confirmed that he will leave Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich at the end of this season and Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea look to be his next club.
The Austrian is out of contract at the Allianz Arena and has turned down a number of contract extensions as he believes the club are undervaluing him.
The 28-year-old is understood to be demanding a salary of £400k per week and Bayern are unwilling to pay that much.
Fortunately for Alaba there are some clubs with deeper pockets than Bayern and they will be more than willing to pay the hefty wage.
According to the Sun, should Alaba decide to move to Stamford Bridge he will be on a staggering £400k-per-week, making him the biggest earner in the League.
The current highest player is Manchester United defender David de Gea who takes home a whopping £375k-a-week.
