Cristiano Ronaldo offered EXTRAORDINARY world-record contract

An unnamed club from Saudi Arabia have reportedly offered Cristiano Ronaldo a contract worth £2m-a-week.

Ronaldo is understood to be keen on leaving Manchester United this summer, with the Portuguese superstar hoping to continue adding to his record Champions League goal tally.

However, that hasn’t stopped a club in Saudi Arabia from attempting to tempt him into what would be a hugely surprising transfer, one which would see him line his pockets to an unprecedented extent.

According to CNN Portugal, Ronaldo has been offered an extraordinary two-year deal worth £2m-a-week, which would make him the highest-paid footballer in the history of the sport.

Ronaldo is not expected to accept the offer, with his desire to leave Man United not money-motivated. It takes quite the character to turn down the opportunity to make that kind of cash.

Ultimately, though, Ronaldo could never work another day in his life and he’d still be stinking rich come the day he passes. In his illustrious career, he has made remarkable sums of money.

You do wonder if an offer of this nature could become more appealing if no top European club comes in for him. We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the summertime.
