Conor McGregor hasn’t fought for over three years.

The Irishman last entered the Octagon in July 2021 when he suffered a leg break against Dustin Poirier in their trilogy fight.

He was due to return in June against Michael Chandler before a toe injury ruled him out of their eagerly anticipated showdown.

This has left ‘The Notorious” return up in the air but according to UFC president Dana White he won’t be in action this year.

Taking to X formerly Twitter, McGregor hit back at White’s claims.

He wrote: ‘Ah Dana, December is the date! Bring the calendar year home with a winning event! Come on now, what’s this? I am off to altitude next month to prepare. DECEMBER! Tell Dana and UFC WE WANT DECEMBER! WE DESERVE DECEMBER!’
