The former Clare hurling captain now RTE pundit Anthony Daly was on The Saturday Game yesterday talking about the complete mess that the GAA season is.

The former two time All-Ireland winner, called the URC the UFC and then corrected himself while on TV .. funny enough all the same, but the 54 year old publican is spot on with his analysis.

There’s no doubt about it but the GAA are going to have to do something about their Championship ..

The big issue here is the same one that’s been increasing and slowly ruining the GAA for years. The reversal of the founding ethos of the club as the primary unit of the GAA. Intercounty should not be prioritised over club. Especially not due to greed/money
