The former Clare hurling captain now RTE pundit Anthony Daly was on The Saturday Game yesterday talking about the complete mess that the GAA season is.
The former two time All-Ireland winner, called the URC the UFC and then corrected himself while on TV .. funny enough all the same, but the 54 year old publican is spot on with his analysis.
There’s no doubt about it but the GAA are going to have to do something about their Championship ..

The big issue here is the same one that’s been increasing and slowly ruining the GAA for years. The reversal of the founding ethos of the club as the primary unit of the GAA. Intercounty should not be prioritised over club. Especially not due to greed/money
There was just over 6000 at the leinster championship game in wexford park between wexford and galway and now all of a sudden hurling pundits want us to believe that the whole of wexford would have gone to the game today only for Feile.Aviva was booked by pink . So held Croke park for URc final if Leinster got there . Would liky been sell out . Hurling knew about date long ago . No point complaining one week befor . Also not fair to change football with one week notice. It’s the compact, calendar that is issue
