Dublin centre-back Cian O’Sullivan has been named in Jim Gavin’s starting line-up for Sunday’s All-Ireland final.
O’Sullivan has been rehabilitating a hamstring injury and doubts may continue to surround his participation as Gavin has often made changes from his Friday line-ups come Sunday afternoon.
The unchanged side from the Mayo replay means that former Player of the Year Michael Darragh MacAuley and 2011 final goal-scorer Kevin McManamon miss out on the first XV.
Their opponents Kerry made three changes to their line-up, announced last night, as they seek to erase the pain of the 2011 final and 2013 semi-final defeats.
Dublin team to play Mayo:
Stephen Cluxton (Parnells, Captain);
Jonny Cooper (Na Fianna), Rory O’Carroll (Kilmacud Crokes), Philip McMahon (Ballymun Kickhams);
James McCarthy (Ballymun Kickhams), Cian O’Sullivan (Kilmacud Crokes), Jack McCaffrey (Clontarf);
Brian Fenton (Raheny), Denis Bastick (Templeogue Synge St);
Paul Flynn (Fingallians), Diarmuid Connolly (St Vincent’s), Ciarán Kilkenny (Castleknock);
Paddy Andrews (St Brigid’s), Dean Rock (Ballymun Kickhams), Bernard Brogan (St Oliver Plunkett’s ER).
I'm assuming that's a dummy team by Dublin
