While that reeks of inexperience and lack of planning, it is a pretty clear indicator that they are willing to throw their support behind whoever may be in the Chelsea dugout.
Chelsea’s hierarchy appear to be already thinking about how they can offer Potter the necessary support in next year’s transfer window, with a transfer target already being identified.
According to La Repubblica, Chelsea’s owners are ready to pounce on Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, if he is unable to agree an extension with his boyhood club.
Rashford has forced his way back into the Man United starting XI, but if he is unable to firmly nail down a spot, he could be inclined to listen to offers from elsewhere.
It remains to be seen if he’d be interested in a move to Chelsea, but the Blues appear willing to match his hefty wage demands. This is one to keep an eye on…
