Celtic took on Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday evening in the Champions League and one section of the fans displayed a banner that ‘said f**k the crown’ it’s after getting a lot of reaction online as you can imagine, with supporters of the royal family raging. Was this a bit too much from the boys?

Shame on the Glasgow #Celtic fans who insulted #TheQueen at their match tonight. Among their foul abuse, they held up a banner praising the intruder who entered Her Majesty's bedroom at Buckingham Palace. #royal pic.twitter.com/NI8Zx16cRI

After I saw the banner, I watched the game in full. Fuck monarchs globally n Fuck the Queen.

Since the Queen’s passing last Thursday there has been an awful lot of conflict online between one side and the other and no more so then Celtic and Rangers.
The two Scottish sides are steeped in history and they let it known where they stand that’s for sure. Celtic could find themselves in trouble for this, as could Rangers for defying UEFA on Wednesday evening.
