🚨 British boxing legend gives his assessment on potential Derek Chisora vs. Deontay Wilder fight

Derek Chisora isn’t retiring just yet.

The popular heavyweight is approaching his goal of 50 (35 wins, 13 defeats) professional contests having defeated Joe Joyce in an an entertaining clash in July.

One man he has been linked to fighting is the former WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder who has lost his last two fights to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang respectively.

A fight between Wilder and Chisora would have been seen as a mismatch, but due to the former’s current form, Ricky Hatton believes the timing could be right for a fight between the heavyweights.

“Most people would favour Deontay Wilder, but most people backed Joe Joyce before the Derek Chisora fight,” said Hatton when speaking to Action Network.

“The fact that Wilder has had them wars with Tyson Fury, got beat by Joseph Parker and didn’t look great, you would have to say Derek has a chance of winning that fight.

“It might just be the right time to fight Deontay Wilder because there’s miles on the clock and he doesn’t look like the fighter he was.”
