Angela Carini stopped her fight with Algeriaβs Imane Khelif.
The Italian was up against a boxer that had failed a gender eligibility test last year.
And she made the decision to end the bout after just 46 seconds.

After the fight the Algerian went in for a handshake but was unsurprisingly snubbed.

Khelif is one of two fighters that has caused uproar in the boxing community along with Lin Yuβting of Taiwan but both were cleared by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to compete in womenβs boxing in Paris.
In her post-fight interview, the Italian said: βI have always honoured my country with loyalty.
βThis time I didnβt succeed because I couldnβt fight anymore. So I put an end to the match.β
