BenchWarmers Premier League Prediction

Now less than 24 hours away is the first fixture of the 2015/2016 season and the excitement is building, fantasy football leagues are exploding into action and the league predictions have started. So we thought we’d bring you our top 5 Premier League teams finished come May next year.

5th – Manchester City

Although coming second in last years campaign Manchester City haven’t strengthened their squad as much as maybe needed to compete with the top teams this year. Although Raheem Sterling may regularly play, former Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph will probably struggle to even have a sight of the first XI with Yaya Toure and David Silva City regulars. So Man City take their place in 5th position for our predicted finish.

4th – Liverpool

Sadly, this year isn’t Liverpool’s year… The big debate with Liverpool this season is whether Brendan Rodgers can guide the reds into the top 4 and into Europe. Loosing Luis Suarez and Glen Johnson this year has been a big loss for Liverpool but after finally getting a clinical finisher in Christian Benteke, we feel that with the guidance of the Welsh Xavi (Joe Allen) and a whole lot of ‘Character’ will slot Liverpool back up with the title contenders.

3rd – Chelsea

One prediction that may cause a lot of backlash with a few of you guys is last years champions Chelsea dropping down two places into 3rd. With Diego Costa’s constant hamstring problems, backup keeper Cech gone and the lack of new additions we can see the blue’s missing out on top spot followed by more angry press conferences by Jose. In bringing in former United man Radamel Falcao, Mourinho has taken a massive gamble, which certainly looked like a bad one from Falcao’s 45 minutes against Arsenal. The blues take their place in 3rd.

2nd – Manchester United

The Red Devils have undoubtedly brought in some impressive signings this summer despite what some fans say, the lack of experience in midfield and much needed pace has been filled with new signings Depay, Schweinstiger and Schneiderlin. Although still lacking a Vidic and Ferdinand partnership at the back, Darmian has filled the gap that liability Rafael left which leaves United in our minds, finishing in 2nd after a close battle with the 1st.

1st – Arsenal

Although years have gone by before Arsenal’s trophy cabinet has been opened for the placement of the Premier League trophy, looking at all squads this year there is absolutely no argument that Arsenal possibly have one of the best if not the best squad going into the campaign. With rumours still circling about Benzema’s future, Arsenal could become unstoppable with the Frenchman’s clinical finishing if he was to link up with Arsene Wenger. Not to mention Mr Sanchez who was incredible last season and helped steer Arsenal to regain their F.A cup trophy, which w must remind Arsenal fans, isn’t the same calibre as the Champions League.

That’s it for our Premier League top 5 prediction, don’t agree? No need for abusive language (usually the scousers) just comment your top 5 prediction in the comments below this post.
