Bayern Munich have announced that veteran striker Thomas Muller has tested positive for Coronavirus (Covid-19).
The club made the announcement on their website in a statement that read: ‘Thomas Müller, 31, has tested positive for coronavirus at the FIFA Club World Cup in Doha and was promptly isolated. Following his return to Munich, he will immediately go into quarantine. FC Bayern has agreed this with the relevant authorities.

The whole FC Bayern team was tested again on Thursday. There were no further positive cases.’
The German is expected to miss Bayern’s club world cup final vs Tigres as well as some Bundesliga matches.
According to Sky Germany, the forward’s results came after a test following a training session on Wednesday.
The results have now ruled him out of Bayern’s clash in Qatar and the German forward may also miss the UEFA Champions League clash with Lazio which is scheduled to take place at the Stadio Olimpico on February 23rd.
