Arsenal has been punished by the FA after their players were involved in a fiery moment late on against Newcastle.Β
The Gunners were held to a scoreless draw against Newcastle at the Emirates stadium on Tuesday night. The game wasnβt an end-to-end spectacle but rather a more conservative affair.
Newcastle was happy to sit back in their structure and repel any of Arsenalβs chances, although Joel Linton had a great opportunity but put his point-blank header wide.
Eddie Howeβs men tried to slow down the game as much as possible clearly to the frustration of the Arsenal players and manager.
The Gunners were denied a clear-cut penalty when Gabriel was hauled to the floor by Dan Burn inside the Newcastle area. Then in the 95th minute, a handball was waved away by the referee, which infuriated the Arsenal players who swarmed the referee.
