Rangers have completed the deal to sign America’s youngest ever professional footballer, 15-year-old Francis Jacobs from Orange County.
Young Jacobs turned pro in August 2019 at age of 14 years, four months and 29 days and the now 15-year-old midfielder has reportedly been snapped up by Rangers according to the Daily Mail.
Jacobs earned the title of the youngest professional soccer player in US history when he signed his first senior contract in August 2019.
According to The Athletic, the 15-year-old will make the switch to Ibrox at the end of the current campaign after Rangers were quick to snap up his signature.
Jacobs already has an idea of what its like to play for the blue side of Glasgow after the highly-talented teenager travelled to Doha with the clubs U16s to play in the Alkass International Cup last year.
Rangers currently sit on top of the Scottish premiership a whopping 18 points clear of second place Celtic.
Steven Gerrard’s men are expected to run away with this years league title which will be Rangers first league win since 1996.
