First contact is clearly below the shoulder & he makes an attempt to wrap. Only issue is he hits him so hard it makes the wrap nigh on impossible & makes it look like head contact from folding the ball carrier. All for making the game safer, but these tackles aren’t the issue.
I think it’s fine. First contact is not the head or neck. The players head whips forwards first. If he was hit in the head surely it would have gone backwards first?
Good tackle, was it blown? The tackle blown against the stormers yesterday was diabolical..
Nasty tackle in terms of awkward line of impact and the whiplash, but – just – a legal tackle IMO. The impact is clearly on the shoulder and there’s an attempted wrap – brutal defence
