🚨 Pep Guardiola has ‘ruined football’, claims Italian legend

Pep Guardiola has ruined football, according to an Italy legend.

The Spaniard has won a staggering six Premier League trophies, three Bundesliga titles and the LaLiga three times in a trophy laden coaching career.

He’s often been credited with new patterns of play and revolutionary tactical ideas that you can witness watching players in League Two playing out from the back in the same way as Man City do or rather they try to.

But, Italian forward, Luca Toni has suggested that Guardiola is responsible for his struggles in finding a club later on in his career.

In a tongue-in-cheek video circulating on social media, Toni told Guardiola: ‘Pep, you ruined football. With the false nine, I couldn’t find a team for four years. Seriously.

‘Can you say that you only used the false nine with [Lionel] Messi? Do you even like centre forwards?’

Guardiola found the comment amusing before pointing out the success of his current striker Elrling Haaland.

‘I have it,’ he replied. ‘Haaland, 60 goals.

‘We won the Treble with that striker, but the centre forwards must be good. Understand?’

Toni then replied: ‘OK, but stop it with false nine now. Big centre forwards are better.’
