Carl Froch hasn’t held back in his assessment of Anthony Joshua’s recent performance against Robert Helenius.
Things have been pretty spikey between ‘The Cobra’ and ‘AJ’ in recent times partly due to the heavyweight leaving Froch’s long-time trainer Rob McCracken.
Joshua managed to get the job done against Helenius, scoring a seventh round KO and now has his eyes firmly set on a huge showdown with Deontay Wilder.
But Froch wasn’t impressed with the performance at all. Speaking on his YouTube channel Froch on Fighting he said,
“That performance was awful. It was terrible. It was such a bad performance in so many ways. He was tentative, he was gun shy, he looked like he didn’t want to be in there at times.”

Froch also warned Joshua to not take the Wilder fight.
“Let’s be honest, Anthony Joshua – do not face Deontay Wilder in your next fight because you will get absolutely knocked el sparko.”
Is Froch right? Let us know in the comments.
